MORE COUPLE ORDERS :D

It was such a beautiful day when I took this photo ^.^

Yes! Another order, which was inspired from my previous order! This customer (who's also my friend) really love the bench and slipper idea and wanted me to make a similar base for their anniversary! *squeals with excitement*

Hehehe here it is!

Yes, I went to the top floor of my HDB block and snapped these photos XD

I wanted to try taking photos with natural lighting, but honestly speaking I think I could have used a better space haahaha. Photos still turned out pretty good though! :D

Not sure if you noticed, but this current base (the ground) is different from the previous order, which was a rectangle! I think I like this one better, since it doesn't feel like it was cut out from somewhere hahaha.

Side view! This time the bench looks a bit straighter because I baked it before putting them together, but when I bake it again, it started bending too D: (was baking the figurine on the chair part) ah well...another lesson learnt!

Is it weird that my favourite part of this custom order was the female's hair at the back??? XD

It's actually my first time making hair with wavy curls ONLY at the bottom! It took me quite a while to get it right hahaha.

It's also my first time attempting to make a figurine hug another! Honestly I was so scared that it wouldn't work because their head is so big hahaha but turns out it was okay as long as I squash their hair a little bit. Lots of planning went to it, but I am so glad I managed to pull it off :')

I'm really glad that my work is actually giving people inspiration for gifts to their loved ones, and also allowing me to help them capture a part of their life in a form of sculptor.

I love my job. :')

COUPLE ON CONCRETE BENCH + YOUTUBE

Woah I've been neglecting this space and it's already March! Time really flies, and rest assure I'm still well alive and still hustling. ;)

My website is the only place I can spam photos of my clay works without feeling I'm pushing it into other people's face, and usually I tend to put all the photos I've taken here, so that's what I shall do for this custom order!

This was a gift from my customer to his friend. I'm not sure for what, but it'd be a good present for an anniversary gift if I may say so myself! Hehehehe.

Just a few different angles here.

A few days back before I started on this order, I decided to make YouTube videos! One of the reason is to keep track of what I've done and how I do it, because these will be given to my customer and I won't see them ever again. Also, it's to show people that making these miniature figurines isn't as easy as they think it'd be. Everyone only see the end product, and not the process, so I was thinking that hopefully this will give everyone some sort of idea. :)

Another reason is to see whether making videos will help me in the long run to have some sort of income.

Now I know it will probably take really long and I will have to keep making videos, keep my youtube alive. And to be honest I'm not even sure whether would anyone be interested, but I won't know how it'll go unless I do it!

So.............

JAJANNNNNNN HERE'S THE VIDEO OF MY CONCRETE BENCH :D

It isn't exactly a tutorial (although I plan to make some in the near future) that's why it's call "Watch me craft" :D Basically I walk you through the process of how I create miniatures, in this case a miniature concrete bench!

My partner, ET, is a fabulous musician and I asked him to help play for my videos which he graciously accepted. Do take a listen even if you're not interested in the process of clay miniatures! ;)

(Yes, all music is originals and not rearranged)

I do love the touch of the slippers here, it does give a slight personal touch to it, right?? :)

These two photos are my favourite cause you know very indie much pretty XD

Don't know if you noticed but the cap has both black and red too! (It's my first time making a cap for a figurine hehe)

Here's a reference photo that I was given! (Thank you for allowing me to post it up <3)

And here's the video for the figurines themselves!

I do hope that people will understand the amount of blood and sweat (in this case maybe time and sweat) that was and will be put in their custom order, and not take anything for granted.

Honestly speaking, I'm literally showing everyone the method that I've honed and figured out after months of trying and failing. So I'm baring all I've got. But still, I do hope everyone can learn something from my video. If you do use any method or was inspired by my video, do credit me or even show it to me! I'd be more than happy to take a look and see what everyone come up with! :)

Baldies to end off this post ;) Until the next one!
