Before jumping into the colour recipe, do make sure you watch the video to see how these are made! I'll be writing a little bit about how I made each item in case the video isn't clear enough to help you through the process a bit better 😊

Note that the brand of polymer clay I use for everything is Premo, including translucent clay.

R E F E R E N C E ♥️

I think Tokage was added to the Sumikko Gang quite late, so he actually doesn't have a "Usual Sumikko" design in the Sumikko Gurashi game. Hence, I took reference from these two scene!

Here's a little backstory for Tokage! 😊

"Tokage the son of the Loch Ness Monster who usually poses as a lizard to avoid being captured for a big reward. He is close friends with Nisetsumuri, the Fake Snail, which he named "Corralito" (for "Coral" and Little"). His favorite food is fish, so he associates with Neko. He occasionally catches fresh fish for Neko. His best friend besides Nisetsumuri is "Real Tokage/Green Zaurio" who is a fan of dinosaurs and an actual lizard."

Here's Nisetsumuri's backstory! 😍

"Nisetsumuri (にせつむり) is a slug who carries a "seashell wig" on its back and pretends to be a snail. The name literally translates to "fake snail", and because of its guilt over its dishonesty, it apologises more than necessary. Tokage found it while escaping the Loch Ness and gave it his namesake, and because of that it is closest friends with Tokage and actually was the one that found the house where the other friends live."

Now you know a bit about Tokage and its trinkets, let's get on with making them woohoo!

NISETSUMURI

Roll a tiny snake with COBALT BLUE, wrap the snake against itself, and flatten the bottom.
Use PALE YELLOW and make tiny circles. Smoothen it against the shell and bake it.
Using PALE YELLOW again, make a long "cone" shape, and attach its two tentacles.
Bake it, place eyes, and mouth with PALE BROWN.

FISH

Make the body in an oval shape with sharp ends with COBALT BLUE, poke one end with needle tool so you can hold it better. Bake. Use liquid clay mix with pastels with the colour of your choice, and make stripes with the baked body.
Bake it, place eyes with PALE BROWN.
Lastly, roll out a snake from COBALT BLUE and cut two tips from it. Place them together, and place on the tail end of the fish.

COBALT BLUE (Body)
White (1) : Turquoise (1/4) : Translucent (1)

PALE BROWN (Eyes)
Black (1/2) : White (1/4) : Burnt Umber (1) : Translucent (1)

FISH BOWL

Didn't really use clay for this, mostly UV resin and 2-part mould! Here's how I made it:

Using a two part mould, make a fishbowl shape.
The opening can’t be too small otherwise the fishbowl won’t be able to come out without cracking! Use UV resin to fill up the shape of the fishbowl, and once it’s done drying under a UV light, slowly pry it out and you got your fish bowl! ☺
Glue a magnet at the bottom, and using PALE GREEN as "algae", cover the magnet with it.
UV resin as water, fill up halfway and dry it, glue the fish down so it doesn’t move,
and fill the rest of the fishbowl with more UV resin and dry it again! 🐟
Glazing the bowl with gloss varnish helps to keep it transparent looking and not smudged with fingerprints 🤣
It helps to hide some flaws too!

PALE GREEN (Fish Bowl's Algae)
White (1) : Green (1/8) : Wasabi (1/16) : Ercu (1/4) : Translucent (1)

WALL AND MAGNETIC BASE

Cut a big rectangle that will fit all the figurines (you can use scrap clay for this, but make sure the bottom is white),
use liquid clay and attach a metal piece that can be magnetised (test it first!)
Wrap LIGHT YELLOW around the metal piece and cover the sides. Blend the ends at the bottom.

For the wall, make sure it fits the side of the base, and it's taller than Shirokuma.
Watch Penguin?'s video to see how I make the base and wall!

LIGHT YELLOW (Floor)
White (1) : Cadmium Yellow (1/8) : Translucent (1) : PALE BROWN (1/32)

BROWNISH WHITE (Wall)
White (1) : Translucent (1) : PALE BROWN (1/64)
